I currently have a MF35 gas engine (early 60's model) with a loader, 3pt hitch, and PTO the tractor is in good shape. I have attachments a 6'box blade, 6" regular grader blade, 5' finish mower, and a 6' disk. I have 10 acres to maintain about 3 acres in grass for finish mowing the rest in pasture, the tractor I have is too big and heavy to mow grass and I'm looking for a regular riding mower or trading my tractor in on something else to do the mowing and pull the attachments I currently have. I'm looking at a new BX2200 with four wheel drive, 3 cylinder diesel, class 1 hitch, PTO, with a 60" belly mower, the dealer says that this machine will pull my attachments just fine with 4 wheel drive, I do not know anything about Kabota tractors I need some honest feed back from BX owners on the performance of this tractor. The dealer quoted me a price of $10,150 and after my trade I would owe $5,000 is this a good price for this tractor? I'm also not crazy about giving up my loader but I can always add this at a later date. Thank you in advance for your help.

I think those blades and are way too big for the BX. Gearmore has a whole line of implements they say are sized to that machine. I believe the box scraper is 42 inches. That kubota is a fine machine and will do your mowing jobs just dandy but you might have to down size the stuff you hang off the back end. ....

BX's tend to have narrow 3ph's. I've heard that the lower link arms won't spread wide enough for a few implements. I don't think it's generally much of a problem, but it might be good to check the width of your existing implements to make sure they'll fit A BX hitch. ....

X 2200several acres including along my 500' dam (it goes up and down it and along the slope, mowing tall grass with no sweat). However, i also have a larger L3010 with a 5'bush hog that I use for the pasture we have. The larger tractor also has some implements like a loader and post hole digger that make life easy- I'd be reluctant to try some of the jobs I've done with the smaller machine. ....

I just traded in my BX in Jan for a B7500. You had better go with the B7500 if you want to do any type of heavy work beside mowing with the belly mower. ....
